Stephen joined the Department for Business and Trade and its predecessors in 1997 and has worked on various international desks including China, Brazil and the USA, organising trade missions and assisting UK companies to export to these markets.
Since 2007 he has worked with overseas companies in the energy sector, helping them to develop their plans in establishing a business/ manufacturing or R&D presence in the UK. Sector priorities included offshore wind and marine energy.
Stephen is now supporting the Renewables Energy Team develop its interest in the rapidly growing CCUS/ blue hydrogen sector, supporting companies in developing their UK business interests.
