Stephen Buskie leads WBCSD’s work on Carbon Capture, Storage and Carbon Removals. WBCSD is actively developing guidance for CCS-as-a-service business models with a focus on increasing demand for industrial decarbonization while advancing more projects towards FID.
Stephen is a chartered engineer with exceptional engineering capabilities coupled with finance expertise. Formerly founding member and Head of Finance at a climate tech start-up offering digital infrastructure to create independently verifiable environmental attributes. Prior to this he was based in the US as an advisor to bp’s executive team on global strategy, operational and financial performance. This included guidance on global capital allocation across both Production & Operations and Gas & Low Carbon businesses.
Stephen holds a Petroleum Engineering MSc from Imperial College London’s Department of Earth Sciences and Engineering and is presently an MBA candidate at Imperial College Business School.
