Simon has over 35 years’ experience in the aggregates and construction materials industry. He joined Hanson UK as CEO at the end of 2018 from his previous role as managing director of Eurovia Infrastructure.
Other senior roles include managing director of Midland Quarry Products (Hanson’s Leicestershire-based asphalt and quarrying business) and operations director at Tarmac.
Simon is the current chairman of the Mineral Products Association (MPA), the trade association for the aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, dimension stone, lime, mortar and silica sand industries.
He holds a BSc and MEng in mechanical and electrical engineering and is a charted director and engineer.
