Dr Philippa Parmiter joined NECCUS as CEO in September 2023from Crown Estate Scotland where she was Development Manager (Gas Storage &Pipelines). NECCUS, the alliance in Scotland with a mission to deliver industrialdecarbonisation, was the lead on Scotland's Net Zero Roadmap project(funded by Innovate UK), and provides a range of member services; connectingindustry and government. Prior to that Philippa ran the pan-Scottishresearch consortium, Scottish Carbon Capture & Storage. She is aChartered Engineer with a PhD in physical electronics who transitioned to theenvironmental sector via an MSc from the University of Edinburgh in 2010, andhas worked for government, academia, an environmental consultancy and for anelectronics start-up, resulting in a patent, and an entry in the Guinness Bookof Records.
