Patrick provides independent advice and expertise on CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage). He is an independent director of the CCSA. In recent years he has provided comercial, policy and project advice to government, projects and academics.
He was previously the OCCS Expert Chair, providing independent expertise to inform and drive forward the Government’s CCS programme; a Non-Executive Director of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority; and a Consultant to the Oil and Petrochemicals Industry, with 32 years operational, commercial and M&A experience in ten countries on four continents. He has deep experience in Business, Strategy, Operations, Commercial, Major Projects, Change Management programmes, Performance Management processes; and many large M&A deals. He has been a member over more than 25 years of boards at various levels in executive and non-executive positions, including as executive chairman of a $1bn pa profit JV. He has first-hand knowledge of British and German corporate governance.
