National Infrastructure Commission

Joanna is an Assistant Director at the National Infrastructure Commission, an organisation established to provide independent advice to the government on how to address long-term infrastructure challenges. She leads the Commission’s work on energy. She also led the production of the Commission’s 2021 recommendations to the government on the role for engineered greenhouse gas removals. Prior to joining the Commission, she worked in utilities regulation at a water company and within the networks policy division of Ofgem, the energy regulator. She started her career in consultancy.
