Jennifer holds master’s degrees in both Chemical Engineering and Environmental Pollution Control; and has over 25 years’ experience working in the area of environmental compliance.  She started her career in environmental management and compliance roles within the Food and Drink, Chemicals and Transport sectors. Jennifer moved into consultancy in 2001 initially working for Enviros to secure some of the first environmental permits as existing industry transitioned under the then Pollution Prevention and Control regime.  Jennifer moved to RPS in 2003 and has been Technical Director of the Permitting and Compliance team since 2016.

Jennifer oversaw the permit application for Tata Chemicals Winnington CHP carbon capture plant which is the first and currently only permitted carbon capture facility in the UK.  She has remained involved with the scheme and is currently providing ongoing permit compliance support to the facility.  Jennifer has also provided permitting input to BEIS applications for carbon capture funding and early planning and design stage input for multiple EfW sites and a new conventional combustion plant.  Jennifer is supporting the CCSAs ‘Path to Permitting’ workshops, was involved with the EAs working group establishing BAT for carbon capture in the waste to energy sector and has also presented on Permitting Carbon Capture to the Waste Industry.
