Emily joined the CCUS team at Ofgem at the start of 2023 as a Senior CCUS Policy Manager. Ofgem has been appointed as the Economic Regulator for CCUS in the UK and has been providing advice to DESNZ while they negotiate the licence terms and award the first licences. Emily has worked on the technical interfaces of the economic regime, including the scope, incentives and cost assessment.
Prior to joining Ofgem, Emily spent 15 years with an oil major in a technical sub-surface role, primarily in exploration and new opportunities.
Emily has a PhD in Earth Sciences
