Els is the Business Opportunity Manager for Shell’s Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects in the Southern North Sea. Her team is dedicated to advancing the three awarded appraisal licenses towards the Storage Permit Stage. Additionally, the CCS team focuses on creating the right conditions for CCS to become a self-sustaining business, aiming to significantly reduce industrial CO2 emissions and remove barriers to global CCS deployment.
Els has been with Shell for 18 years, starting her career as a geophysical engineer. She later transitioned to development manager roles, working on the development of oil and gas fields in the UK. Over the past 12 years, she has been involved with various UK fields, from East of Shetland to the Southern North Sea. Els also has extensive offshore experience, having spent several years working as a logging while drilling engineer.
