Dr. Chunto TSO received his Ph.D. degree in Economics from Texas A&M University, TX, USA, in 1993. Dr. TSO has been a research fellow in the Research Division I of the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER) since 1994. Currently he is Vice President of TIER. Dr. TSO's research interests include industrial economics, science and technology policy, international business management, new energy industry, and traffic management.
Since 2022 Dr. TSO has also served as the Chairman of the Taiwan-US Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Industries Promotion Alliance (TUCA) since 2022. TUCA's mission is accelerating the development of CCUS technology in Taiwan and promoting Taiwan’s 2050 net-zero transformation.
