Dr. Christie Hazell-Marshall works for ERM as air quality lead for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Christie is also part of ERMs global air quality team and is Carbon Capture technical lead for the UK. They completed their PhD in Air Pollution and Health in 2000, and moved into consulting specialising in industrial air quality. Christie was first involved with Carbon Capture in 2015 working on the UKs first two projects at Drax White Rose and Shell Peterhead. Christie has subsequently undertaken a variety of projects for clients including design advice, air quality impact assessments, dispersion modelling, Planning and Permitting support, and a variety of technical studies including derivation of Environmental Assessment Levels and Emission Limit Values. Christie has worked with the CCSA for several years, most recently on the Path to Permitting workshops designed to identify key barriers to deployment of CCS and identify solutions. More broadly, Christie regularly represents clients in the public forum, appears as an expert witness and undertakes liaison with regulators on behalf of clients.
