Chris has recently joined the NEP team from the role of VP offshore wind projects, where he was seconded into the BP-Equinor strategic partnership developing the Empire Wind project off the coast of New York. Chris brings 25 years of experience with BP, having previously worked around the globe in more than a dozen different locations including General Manager for BP’s activity in Kirkuk, and VP Wells for the Rumaila Operating Organisation (ROO) in Basra. Chris also brings previous CCUS execution experience having been Wells Engineering manager for the In Amenas and In Salah Projects in Algeria. Chris graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MA in Natural Sciences and a PhD in Materials Science and Metallurgy. He is a chartered engineer, chartered scientist, and Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining.
